S&J UK are looking to recruit a Digital Marketing Exec to join their busy Marketing Team in Sheffield. This is an exciting role offering the successful candidate great levels of variety, challenge and opportunity to drive this area of S&J UK.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, and having close working relations with the UK Sales Manager / Export Sales Director, this role will be responsible for increasing the digital brand profile of S&J UK and expanding our sales via digital communications across customer websites; as well as maximising opportunities to enhance the digital user experience, editing web content and monitoring traffic and engagement.
Day-to-day the successful candidate can expect to get involved in delivering all aspects of Digital Marketing through creative writing for the S&J UK website, social media and press releases, supporting e-marketing campaigns, producing newsletters and overseeing other e-commerce initiatives. The post-holder will support the full maintenance of the website, keeping it fresh and dynamic, whilst reviewing and maintaining the content, including managing product data and customer stockists feed and ensuring that compelling written content is produced to support the launch of new products to the market.
In addition, the successful candidate can expect to provide regular graphic design support across a range of design for print and should be willing to undergo graphic design training as required.
The Digital Marketing Exec will work with other areas of the business on project related activities; respond promptly to inquiries from the digital audience; provide back-up design support to the Marketing Designer; and will maintain a thorough awareness of developments and trends in digital marketing and communications both nationally and internationally, making recommendations as appropriate.
To be considered for this role, applicants will have demonstrable experience in writing content for Web and Social Media; alongside experience in graphic design from ideas generation and the management of online scheduling tools and web content management systems. A good level of academic achievement to degree level or equivalent is required, ideally in a marketing / design related discipline.
Sound knowledge of technical design and print processes, excellent written communication skills and competent time management is essential. The successful candidate must be in possession of excellent IT competence, with experience using Microsoft Office Suite, InDesign Software (CS5), Illustrator (CS5), Apple Mac, Photoshop (CS5) and Adobe Creative Suite Applications
Combined with the above experience and skill set, we are looking for candidates who are self-motivated and enthusiastic, innovative and with a natural flair for design and creativity, and who are able to demonstrate high attention to detail with excellent level of accuracy. Candidates must have first-class communication skills (verbal and written) with proven interpersonal and relationship management skills; able to plan and organise workload effectively with the ability to work to tight deadlines and often changing work demands.
In addition, to be considered for this role applicants must be in possession of a full driving licence and comfortable with travel and some overnight stays to support trade shows / events etc.
